DON JOSLIN
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Don is the creative and entrepreneurial
spirit that propels our organization and our client engagements. He’s
a strong project manager who aligns design and technical resources, and maintains
quality standards during every
phase of development. And somehow, he never loses sight of the big picture.
A
fine artist by training, Don blends innate design sensibility, street smarts
and technical acumen into an award-winning creative vision. Since
founding
J3design in 1998, he’s driven dozens of full-scale web and print
communications projects for business-to-business and consumer companies.
Prior
to J3design, Don helped create and launch State
of the Arts,
a web-based gallery of independent artists from around the world. Specifically,
he developed the original brand concept, identity system and site design.
Don
has also served on the creative staff of established organizations – including
Bernard Hodes Advertising, a leading recruitment advertising agency,
and Blue Ribbon Supply, a hotel paper goods distributor.
Before pursuing corporate
opportunities, Don used his eye for visual composition to design album
covers and promotional postcards for recording
artists
such as Bunny Brunnell and Steve Smith. Previously, he mastered digital
illustration
and imagery techniques while operating as a freelance sports magazine
photographer, photo lab retouching specialist and art store consultant.
